Many blogs are very good for a particular topic but HuffEnglish manages to address the entire teaching spectrum from technology, to philosophy, to the nuts and bolts of teaching in an English classroom. Tons of great links are included as well as a large number of printable worksheets. Don’t miss. Rating: 5/5

    Technology in the Classroom
November Learning http://novemberlearning.com/ boasts they are "Expanding the Boundaries of Learning" and from everything I’ve witnessed- from spending a day in a small seminar with Alan November himself, to attending a session at last summer’s BLC, to browsing through numerous podcasts and articles located under “Resources”- NL continually inspires educators to open their minds to emerging technology and their roles within the education. Dig deep within this site, you won’t be disappointed. Based on the site’s strength, the content of its “Resources” section, this site is rated 4 out of 5. Contributor: M. Description: Personal diary style blog about issues in teaching.
Evaluation: This is a good place to connect with teachers about issues we face. If the lunch table is getting too toxic, this is the place to fulfill those needs. Not the best blog for finding a lesson plan for today but nice place to check out when you want to wax philosophical about teaching and technology

I am an English teacher, currently teaching 10th grade. I have always felt I am a teacher who does a pretty good job incorporating technology into my classroom. I now find myself learning about blogging and wikis, things I have never used myself, let alone tried to use in teh classroom. I feel like I am really pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Hopefully, though, through this course, I will learn new ways to instruct, assess, and inspire my students. As I learn myself, I have a blog you can visit at http://mrrogersclassblog.blogspot.com/ .

I am currently teaching World History (10th Grade) and American Government (12th Grade) at La Sierra High School in Riverside, California. I am originally from Kansas City, Kansas, and I moved out west about five years ago. I have tried to utilize technology in the classroom as much as possible, but not until I have enrolled in this degree program through Walden University have I realized the importance of technology in the classroom. Along with teaching, I am also an assistant coach on the varsity levels for girls soccer and baseball, which keeps me very busy all year long. I love what I do on a daily basis, and I can honestly say that I have never worked a day in my life! Check out my classroom blog: http://mikepalo.blogspot.com and http://palo-educ6710.blogspot.com/. I look forward to collaborating and learning about the importance of technology in the classroom.

North Central Regional Educational Laboratory http://www.ncrel.org/sdrs/areas/te0cont.htmThis website offers a wide variety of interesting articles and resources that will inform teachers of the importance of technology in the classroom. Even though some of the critical issues are very lengthy, this site is a good starting point that offers many different aspects of how teachers can utilize and integrate technology in the classroom.

    History
The History Channel: This Day in History - http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history.do
On January 24, 1935, canned beer made its debut in the United States. Probably not classroom appropriate, but this website offers anything and everything you want to know about a specific event in history. It offers videos that can be viewed online or purchased through their online store, but the History Channel is known for its interesting takes of historical eras, events, and people. This site is a great introduction that can be used in the classroom as an introductory lesson. 5/5
